for Indirect Bonding

Bracket Placement and Tray Fabrication:
Our Indirect Bonding fees are applied on a “per tooth bonded” basis at the rate of $5.50 per tooth. This laboratory fee is for placing brackets and fabricating the transfer trays.

• Upper and Lower 5x5 20 Teeth Bonded $110.00
• Upper and Lower 6x6 24 Teeth Bonded $132.00
• Upper and Lower 7x7 28 Teeth Bonded $154.00

In addition, we have a volume discount programs for practices using larger quantities of Indirect Bonding services. Please contact our Indirect Bonding Department for further information on this program.

Brackets – Doctor or Specialty Provide:
We are able to place appliances from any manufacturer; these should be sent to Specialty with your models and Rx form. We also have available, from our inventory, a complete line of brackets from American Orthodontics. For your convenience, American Orthodontics brackets from Specialty are available on a “per case” basis, which reduces the need for inventory in the office. Please contact our Indirect Bonding Department for further information on prices for American Orthodontics brackets supplied by Specialty Appliances.

Shipping and Handling Charges:
Specialty underwrites a portion of the total shipping and handling costs for our customers. We charge between $3.00 and $7.50 for receipt and delivery of each case. Lesser charges are applicable when more than one case is received in an in-coming box. Specialty has available to our customers several sizes of shipping boxes depending on the volume of cases sent to us. Please keep in mind that the costs associated with shipping cases to and from Specialty are directly affected by the number of cases in each box. The more cases in a box, the lower the cost per patient – so it pays to make sure a larger shipping box is used when sending multiple cases to our laboratory.

Total Time Required for Indirect Bonding Service:
On average Indirect Bonding cases are processed in our laboratory in three to five working days. We typically estimate two to three days each way for shipping and receiving for a total turn-around time of approximately ten working days. We are able to expedite cases upon request and also utilize a rapid return service for situations where your patient must have brackets placed immediately.
